Why does my child have to change
schools so often?
The
population of the valley continues to grow rapidly. To
avoid overcrowding, attendance zones are reviewed each

What factors does AZAC take into
consideration
when determining attendance
zones?
Zoning
criteria is established by district Policy 7111 and Regulation

population, and new school locations are some of the
criteria used by AZAC.

favor of a proposal or recommendation,
do I need to attend a
public input meeting?
Yes. It is
always recommended that you attend public input meetings when
attendance boundaries affecting your child are being
discussed.

Does AZAC determine if a school goes
on or off
a year-round schedule?
No.
Once a school meets enrollment criteria for calendar
conversion as per CCSD Regulation 7124 (elementary schools)
or CCSD Regulation
